I gave 5 stars because of the color range and price. I think these pencils would be best for those who would use them for coloring (I don't). I use colored pencils for original artwork and so need more durable ones to lay down lots of color. I also need pencils that can tolerate alot of layering and blending. These pencils have an amazing amount of pigment though. And one of the best color selections that I've seen in any set I've ordered (Prismas, Derwent, Koh-I-Noor, Lyra). The colors are beautiful so I will find a use for these but they are just too soft for my drawings. Two of the pencils I tested drawing a flower went down quickly with needing to be sharpened. So I would go through these way too fast to rely on them solely. As far as the feel of the pencils - they kind of remind me of Koh-I-Noor. Pretty colors but thicker lay down and averse to much layering. More pigment then Koh-I-Noor though. These would also I think be a fantastic gift for someone new to or interested in CP. I avoided colored pencils for many years in artwork because I had been frustrated early on (like as a kid) due to hard/bland pencils. These would be great for a potential young artist.
