Mr. Archer . has / had real life experiences as a cop, or some very impressive friends who are. Truth, I'm a 27 year veteran cop/detective from a major mid western town. A plain street cop, serious under cover cop, and finally over ten years as a leading detective I picked this book knowing absolutely nothing about it. Truthfully I was pleasantly surprised to find it was about a wounded retired cop. I certainly wasn't expecting much from a free Kindle read, but was constantly and pleasantly surprised. The multiple plot changes were smooth, believable and surprising! I knew exactly how Mr. Prichard felt at every surprising turn.
