I searched and hunted and researched. I work at home - like so many now, but I always did. In addition I paint at the other end of my desk- so I can log some serious hours in a desk chair. My issue is that I wanted comfort and good support, but also, good aesthetic. The last desk chair I bought was beautiful, but turned out to be a cleverly disguised torture device. I received this quickly- it arrived just a few short days after ordering so that was a pleasant surprise. Of course, my hubby is out of town when it arrives, but I being the woman that I am, am not a patient person. So my 11 year old and I decided - about 2 seconds after we brought it in- to try and put it together. I was worried about this because this thing was kind of heavy and many reviews indicated that assembly was not the easiest. However, I'm happy to say that for us, it seemed pretty standard issue desk chair assembly- the only issue being that we initially put a part on backwards and had to correct it- but that isn't something to complain about - that just my spacey self and my I'm-not-sure-he-has-ears kiddo trying to work/argue together. Ah, so finally the moment arrives, it seems all the parts are in their appropriate places and we are ready to try her out! aaahhh, so soft, so comfy, the raising and lowering mechanism works well and the wheels roll on my tile floors smoothly. The pop out back support thing (that's the technical term!) at about 2 clicks is perfect. I am, for now, very happy with this chair.
