Love all the attachments, especially the spiralizer - now that I know how to use it correctly!
I was a little hesitant to order this, based on some reviews, but now I'm loving it. I mainly bought it for the spiralizer, but when it didn't make the spirals I'd hoped for, I was more than a little bummed. BUT, turns out it was ME, not the machine! Once I figured out how to do it correctly, I have zoodles a couple times a week.
For any other folks out there having trouble spiralizing, maybe this will be helpful! See the 3 *outie* grooves (for a lack of a better word) on the inside of the plastic holder where the blades goes? Now, see the 3 *innie* groves on the outside of the spiralizer attachment (that has the prongs that holds the veggie)? Those need to line up, or your veggie will go spiraling out of control. I've found that it's best to cut the veggie to the height of where the grooves meet. Otherwise, if you just cut them in half, you'll have to hold the plastic base with one hand, while spiralizing on low (or even better if you pulse it), until the grooves line up. Once the grooves meet, you'll have nice long veggie spirals! Oh, and make sure you put the center of the veggie on the small prong located in the center of the spiralizer blade. I was putting it over the blade part because I never even noticed that prong. Works like a charm! Just gotta know how to do it properly. Instructions don't tell you that.
