I read many reviews. Some people said the product melted some with them. I have cooked 6 batches of bacon so far with mine. This product works absolutely GREAT for cooking bacon. But it is probably because I follow the advice of another customer who bought this bacon cooker. I will share the technique below. I cook 12 pieces at a time. I put four strips of bacon on each tong. That's a total of 12 strips. I then lay a paper towel over the bacon longways, and one over the bacon shortways. I put the bacon in the microwave and set the microwave to 3.5 minutes, and let it play out. Then I open the door for 10 seconds, close it, set the microwave for 3.5 more minutes, and let it play out. Then open door for 10 seconds, close it, set it to 3.5 minutes, let it play out, and on like this til I get to 14 minutes total cooking time. The bacon is crispy fabulous at that point, and the paper towels keep the microwave from becoming too messy. The product has not weakened or melted any in the time I have used it. I do not see any damage. My bacon has also never tasted funny. I love this thing.
