We bought these for our son who has asthma. His doc recommended that we encase his bed and pillows to prevent allergens from irritating his airways while he sleeps. So far, these are doing the job, and they're nice and quiet on the pillow. No rustling or crunching when he lays his head down. It's an added bonus that they come with a lifetime guarantee, but they seem pretty well-made, so I doubt if we'll need that.
