Quick Review Breakdown: Purchased MEDIUM Indoor Potty for my 63lb Akita X who is 15yo. Pros: PERFECT TRAINING MODEL - for the price and how quickly it comes, this is perfect for testing whether or not an indoor potty is right for your dog. Cons: FLIMSY TRAY - I had to put a rug under so it wouldn't move CHEAP ARTIFICIAL GRASS - I wish it was a bit "hardier", it most likely won't make it through too many cleanings Novel Review: I am professional Canine Behaviorist of 18 years, I have 3 dogs, 2 cats and I foster dogs. In all these years, I've never had a problem with indoor pottying... until now. My old girl is now 15, she has a few health issues and has to pee every couple of hours. She needs my help when going outside due to our deck stairs and the possibility of her falling, and I need better sleep than 2 hours. At least 4. 1st night: I made her "potty spot" by the backdoor, I put a bath mat down (for a more stabilized spot that won't move around) and put the potty tray on top. I lined the tray with two puppy training pee pads to help soak up any urine and placed the grass over that. On her last potty trip outside before bed, I held a paper towel under her for a moment once she started to pee, just to catch a little bit of urine & placed the paper towel under the grass on the potty spot. The first couple of nights I checked on her, making sure the potty spot was being used properly, it was! I can't tell you what a relief it is to have this! It's made my sweet girl's life so much easier, no more going out in the cold night, hurting her old hips having to go up and down those stairs over and over, she isn't stressing, panting, waiting for me to take her to potty. It's made all the difference! With that said, this was the quickest and most affordable one and it most definitely does it's job, but....it's not rocket science and there are ones that are much better quality! Now that I know this is an A+ solution, I will be making a permanent one with better materials and structure.
