I love the inconspicuousness of this lamp. I was looking to bolster reading light by a couch, but I didn't want to add a bulky traditional floor lamp to my living room. This TaoTronics lamp is so slim and streamlined, one barely notices it is even in the room. It arrives in a very compact box and takes only minutes to assemble. My lamp stands approximately 55" tall behind my couch and is a good height to provide focused light on a reading area. The buttons for the brightness and color shades are simple to use and the the lamp retains the last used setting each time it is turned on. The neck and head offer ample adjustability (simply bend as needed). For a no-frills, no-nonsense kind of lamp, this model is a winner.
