Based on the review by Lisa, I purchased this comforter to replace the down comforter I ruined in the washing machine. :( After only minutes under this blanket I could not believe how wonderfully warm it was! It wasn't too heavy but seemed to keep me warm much better than the actual down comforter had. My husband has to sleep with a fan on - no matter the weather - and I am not always a 'fan', pun intended. Plus we usually used two additional quilts on top of the down comforter. Not so with this one. This blanket allows for me to stay warm while he enjoys his fan. No more trying to compromise "who gets to be comfortable tonight" :D And no more needing additional blankets to get comfortable at night. Plus, this item can be washed in the washing machine rather than being dry-cleaned ((oops, I suppose I should have checked my down comforter before I tossed it in the wash)) but isn't as bulky as a down one so it doesn't fill the washing machine so awkwardly, like the fuller one, often throwing it off balance. I have yet to see any negative about this item. I would highly recommend it!
