People. OMG. This product has changed my life. My hair is very fine textured, but thick in quantity. It is somewhere between wavy and curly. Depending on the day. When I was 22 I started to go gray. Not that big of a deal color-wise, but my gray hair is coarse and wiry--I joke that it's more like pubic hair than "hair hair", and so, the intrusive grays were annoying. To solve that, I've used Clairol Natural Instincts #5 for as long as I can remember. I'm going on age 48 now. The gray coverage is probably 75% and thankfully, I can still color it brown and get beautiful results with that. I was happy with just doing that only---UNTIL RECENTLY. I wasn't sure if Clairol changed the formulation, or if I had a lot of recent hair growth, or if maybe it was something in my diet or from changing long term medications, but my hair started to become very dry and lifeless, and worse--I developed what I call a FRIZZ HALO. It was super demoralizing and depressing. Nothing I did for the frizz was helping. Any kind of Argan Oil Mist or whatever just made my fine textured hair look super greasy. Sleeping on satin sheets worked for right when I woke up in the morning but by mid-day it was back. I stopped using all heat--no hairdryer, no hot tool. I researched conditioners, I tried taking silica gel and biotin , and I started just wearing my hair up all the time. But, no product contained the halo, unless I did copious amounts of hairspray, which made it crunchy and hard. I also tried Tresemme's Anti-Frizz shampoo and leave in conditioner and serum. Meh. Better than nothing, but far from best. I was sooooooooooooooooooooooo soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo sooooooooooo unhappy. Then I read on Allure magazine about this product and decided to give it a try. MAGIC!!! I have my normal hair back. Youthful, smooth, full of body, soft, manageable. Thank God, I was about to chop it all off. So, others say they used this once a week or every few days. Beep that! I used it every day. Love this. So grateful for this. I feel like I got my life back. This will be a permanent part of my daily routine.
