I have gone through several cheap Walmart backpacks at work, and usually they start to come apart at the place where the straps meet the pack. I finally gritted ny teeth and decided to spend more than $7 for a backpack that looked professional and sturdy. I have only had it for a week or so, but if it starts to fall apart I will come back and update this review. It looks really nice for a backpack, it sits up on its own, and it holds everything I need it to hold. There is a padded area for my laptop, and many dividers in the smaller pockets that keep it organized. Update: It has been a couple YEARS and this backpack is still showing no signs of wear. I keep a lot of stuff in it (probably too much) and it has not started to pull apart or tear in any way. I have noticed that sometimes, while pulling it on, the strap will loosen on one side or the other, but this is because of the weight inside it and my clumsy handling. Still very happy, and highly recommend!
