These are absolutely fantastic for travel, as well as comfortable and noise canceling enough to be used for a restful sleep. Most importantly for me, the string helps with keeping you from losing a plug overnight (I end up taking mine off in my sleep sometimes, and while I can find one, its mate is gone forever). There isn't just one case but THREE cases included, one for each pair. The main pair has a case with a loop on it which you can attach to various things so you don't lose it. I have autism with sensory sensitivity, and ear plugs are a must have for me. But I am constantly losing them, and it's hard to find large packs of inexpensive ear plugs that do a good job blocking out sounds. These are absolutely perfect. Nothing disturbs me while I'm wearing them. And hopefully the tools they come with will help me keep from losing them.
