First of all genius putting these pencils in a case vs. a tin. I’ve had to buy a case for every brand I own. I already had these but bought this set because they added the names and I love the case because it only has one zipper. Now I find myself using more of the colors I hadn’t before. These pencils are great for cheaper paper too as they’ll color on just about any quality where others won’t. They sharpen nice and keep a point if you don’t press down too hard. I love them for details on small line art in coloring books. They blend well too. You can color with a lot of pigment if you choose for rich color or use a feather touch for a softer pastel look. They are great for smoothing out Prismacolor too. They work very well with Polychromos. Nice color selection. Love the transition from blues to greens. The purple through violet to lavender is a lovely touch too. Can you tell I’m happy? Best budget wax pencil on the market as far as I’m concerned. I have the full set of Holbein Artist pencils too but find myself loving to color with these as well and they help in keeping me from wearing out my Holbein pencils. Hope this helps.
