I live on the third floor of a vintage brick building without AC. (Think pizza oven.) My living room has western exposure. (Think microwave.) I don't want to ghetto up the living room windows with a window AC. So, I try to survive our Chicago summers catching window unit AC air from my bedroom with a floor fan. It doesn't really work. So, I ordered this Lasko fan after reading reviews. It's amazing!!! The air is almost cold. Now, I must be honest. It's hideous. Tall and severe. And I suppose you could call it loud. But that wouldn't really be fair as -- its a FAN! I am so over that. The last few days have been unbelievably humid and the air that this blows, literally is almost cold. The oscillation has a wide path and does so smoothly. At 93 degrees, with the out of control humidity, I have been fine on level two. Just do it.
