My wife and I like a firm mattress but as we get older we wanted a little more cushion than we used to. We did not want to replace our old mattress since it is still in great shape. Adding these 2-inch toppers added just the right amount of cushion and we are both experiencing more restful sleep. Fo us the 3-inch would have been too much so having this size option was perfect. We have heard from several people that memory foam gets warm. We choose these toppers specifically because they advertised cooling gel. It does not make the bed any cooler than it was before BUT the bed does not feel any warmer so we believe the cooling design is working. We have been sleeping on them for several weeks now and we are very pleased with this product.
