Update: Have not had a problem with Reilly on couch since 2015, except the first day we brought roomba home. Easy fix, roomba goes at night when Reilly is upstairs sleeping in his bed in our bedroom. Just bought this for a friend with a new pup and nice couches. Instant gratification. We LOVE our couch, unfortunately so did Reilly, our new rescue dog. Now he thinks it is possibly possessed - awesomeness! I'll admit I pretended to leave and then crouched down to peek in the window to see when he got zapped, but first I zapped myself a couple times to make sure it didn't hurt. A new custom sofa covered with a yoga mat & the dog grooming his numchuk was not a happy daily event. The ScatMat is barely visible and if I drape the throw appropriately the power box is easily hidden. I did get the adapter so it can be plugged into a nearby outlet. About to order two smaller mats for tweed chairs that we've had to upend the cushions on thus far. I can't wait to having the living room back to looking fabu. p.s. Reilly has a super plush bed that's just for him. Update: I got the add on piece for one of my chairs. For the love of all that's holy, do NOT EVER think to place your two fingers on the two round metal cord attachment thingies while device is activated & holding a sweaty wine glass in the other hand. And NO I don't know what made me think this was a even a mildly good idea! That jolt could re-animate the freaking dead - 15 minutes later - I still feel like Frankenstien's bride.
