Eerily Delightful
I’ve seen many a review by “metalheads” and “die hard Ghost fans” that complain about the lack of metal. This shows their true inability to be a “die hard fan.” Ghost/Tobias Forge have stated many times that the band is NOT a metal band even though it is covered by many metal based music sites.
If you have listened to each album individually, as a Ghost fan, you’ll know that none of them sound the same and have been individually unique in their own way. Opus was raw, Infest was creepy pop, Meliora was heavy and now Prequelle is dark 80s vibe style poprock. Anyone who has followed Forge in his musical madness knows that he plays and has many sounds as a song writer as he has had multiple acts other than Ghost and it’s great to hear those sounds come through in Ghost. I mean, what do you want them to be? Distubed and sound the same on 99% of their songs? I’ll keep enjoying the evolution of Ghost as a band and anyone who doesn’t will just have to settle for less.
Also after attending 150 concerts in my life, seeing them for the 6th time in St. Louis at the Peabody Opera House was easily, hands down, the best show Inand my wife have ever seen. Don’t miss out if you get a chance to go.
