I HAD TO TRY JUST ONE BEFORE PUTTING THEM AWAY
I had read the testimonials and reviews of many on the Mountain House products and had to try one for myself. The first one I tried was the lasagna, and it was delicious to my surprise. The meal per bag is about two servings, which there was a lot of food in the packet, it was NOT salty or tasteless but had a very rich taste to it. The fact that you just add boiling water, and minutes later have a fully cook meal as if you spent hours on a stove to make it is just great! The Mountain House I purchased was the Classic meal assortment, 2 Beef Stroganoff with noodles, 2 Beef stew, 2 Chicken Teriyaki with Rice, 2 Lasagna with meat sauce 2 Noodles & chicken and 2 Granola with milk and blueberries a total of 29 servings. On the side of the pail, it says that "All meals have a 12 + year taste guarantee with a use by date of 2028! I like the fact that is was shipped from Oregon.
This is a must have for a bug out bag, a back packing trip.
