I can’t believe I went so long putting tofu straight in the pan. I saw Jenna Marbles and her boy Julien cooking some good food and that video convinced me that I needed to try pressing the liquid out of my tofu first for optimal texture. Like the peasant I am, I used a textbook and a bunch of paper towels my first time around and kind of tore up the whole brick. It improved the tofu’s pan fry quality substantially. I then decided it was time to get the real deal and live like royalty. I bought this, received it, read the directions, and used it as intended. Best overly specific kitchen gadget I own. The boards are cutting board material making cleaning a breeze. Dish soap and water. Dishwasher safe if you feel obligated. Never have issues with the tightening fixtures. I personally center the tofu between the boards and tighten until the tofu is secure. Then I flip it on the side because I don’t have a container big enough to fit it flat to catch the drippings. Side note my cat LOVES to drink the water from the tray I drain it in to. Haha Good simple product. Recommend to every friend.
