I have a juicer. She's fancy. She's an Omega Vertical juicer. She's slow, and she's finicky. She has a lot of demands. She likes things a certain way. If you don't treat her right, she doesn't give you what you want. My juicer is a bit of a diva. Like her mama. She doesn't like being manhandled. She likes the veggies to be cut up, small. She likes different textures fed to her, slowly. Don't be pushing gobs of celery down her throat, she doesn't like that. A bit of carrot. A slice of lemon. Little bit of cucumber. Mmmm, some kale. Bit of ginger. Ooooohhhh a slice of apple. Yes, little bits a time. She likes that. She doesn't like to keep going. She likes to be cleaned after a batch, rinse her out good and THEN keep going. That girl needs a break, a little shower, and then she's good to go as many rounds as you like. You have to learn how she works. Pay attention. You have to let go of all the ideas of what a juicer is and learn her ways. Listen to her sounds, look closely to how she works best. But, when you know her, when you love her the way she likes being loved, she'll give you life. Life-enhancing, slow-made juice that lasts for days. Makes you feel good. Makes your brain work and your body strong. My juicer and me, we are a good match. I get her. She gets me. I love my juicer.
