Terrific Product - but PLEASE READ THIS if you're considering using bleach instead.
We've been using this product for a few years now on a gravel pathway in a small garden that gets a LOT of heavy dog usage. We have three Great Danes and this works really well for us - though we do buy it in bulk and are putting it down liberally in warm weather since the doggy area is right off our patio. It keeps the odor down and the dogs and plants are thriving.
I've read the recommendations here to use bleach (diluted 1:10) as a better/cheaper option. Depending on the specific situation (concrete vs gravel/grass, etc) and single vs multiple dogs, etc. I'm not disputing that might be fine, just wanted to provide some information for consideration. If the ground becomes saturated with urine that breaks down and turns into ammonia and chlorine bleach is added - it creates a toxic gas that can cause serious respiratory complications when inhaled. I'm sure that's not what any of us want our dogs to snuffle up their noses.
While bleach solutions have great disinfecting and deodorizing applications - especially when used to wash down non-pourous surfaces and laundering bedding and such; I would caution folks abut pouring a bleach mixture over areas where it can mix with ammonia. Not trying to be an alarmist, and I'm not a chemist, but just know that as a fellow pet-lover I would appreciate it if someone brought this to my attention.
