These air deflectors are of sufficient quality and they do the job but I do want to make it clear that your vents MUST be metal. I assumed my vents were metal because what else would an AC vent be made out of? But when I went to attach these to my vents I learned the magnets do not work at all. My vents appear to be metal and when I tap on them with my fingers they "feel" like metal, but they definitely aren't able to hold magnets. I was about to send these air deflectors back when I realized I could probably rig something to make them stay up there. The solution for me was to use Velcro strips on each side of the deflector. (see pics) This worked like a charm and I'm quite happy. Just buy some Velcro tape and adhere one strip to your vent and one to the AC deflector (on each side of the vent) and it will definitely hold them up. And nobody can really tell unless they are staring closely. Message to the manufacturer/seller: include an alternative attachment such as Velcro or clips. I have to assume I'm not the only one to learn my vent covers aren't magnetic.
