(The wife writing this review! Haha.) I bought my 11-year-old daughter this book, because she’s getting to the age when her period will probably arrive soon and a book is more coherent and graphic (in a good way) in explaining all the womanly changes. She has already undergone all of the signs of puberty, except getting her period, so I believed this would be a good, final piece. My daughter loved the story format of the book, the clear graphics, and helpful information. She raved about the book multiple times and said she’d give it a 4/5 star. A few have complained about the illustrations, but you know what? Your daughter is going to need to know how it works, what it looks like, and probably has already scanned her body inquisitively, so I don’t understand the squeamishness about it. It’s a great resource for Christians or more conservative families as it doesn’t impose a certain ideology and simply states facts clearly. I’m going to recommend this book to my sister-in-laws.
