A masterpiece of television and science fiction
MRE 12.18.2016: I don't think I have ever seen a more perfectly done series. Each scene, each character, each little detail are all masterfully put in place to lead us to the confluence of multiple interlocking story lines. I sat, in awe, watching how it all came together. I have never seen anything more well done, on television, ever. I thought Game of Thrones was a masterpiece, but, ha!--compared to High Castle, GoT is amateurish. The sci-fi aspect of this, hopping into alternate realties to bring films of other possible futures into the "prime" reality is subtle. No whiz-bang special effects, just a blink and it happens. It is the apex of science fiction--using the fantastic to explore the human condition. Too often sci fi focuses on the fantastic, giving the human part short shrift. Not here. A quick blink, a new dimension, and all you have to focus on is the human drama. I am so profoundly impacted by the majesty of this show I can hardly think straight.
