The Pros, Cons and Oks for the Acer Aspire Desktop (HR).
Pros:__________
- High Def Audio. The system will play the sound without the use of needing earbuds.
- Media Card reader, which is great to have if you want to store your pictures / videos quickly
- Bluetooth; connects fast and had no issues.
- So much storage. 2 TB is incredible to have right out of the box.
- Built-in Wi-Fi which is rare in a cost saving tower PC.
- The size is not huge or wide, you’ll find a place to it.
- Open tray on the top of this tower is a neat extra to have. Your smartphone will now have a place when it's charging.
- Will be able to connect your old VGA LCD panels.
- Keyboard and mouse. Cool bundle to have as all you need is a monitor.
- Got the processor to clock around 2.7 and brought it up to 3.2 in turbo mode (Impressive given what you’re paying)
- You have the option to hook up an SSD if you want.
- 7 USB connectors (3 for 3.0 USB and 4 for 2.0 USB connectors), always great to have this amount.
- I5 6th generation, it’ll do the web, video, and medium graphic work (Photoshop) without any need of a reduction in quality and performance.
- Very solid and clean look. Doesn’t look cheap at all.
Cons and Oks:__________
- 300-watt power supply will limit upgrade opportunities.
- Windows 10 (long live Windows 7)
- Not a gaming computer. You’ll be able to play games such as league of Legends in full but games such as Call of Duty or GTA will not happen.
- No USB type C connectors. These are the way of the future.
Bottom Line:__________
- Not the best around but gets the job done. It does what it says and it says what it does. This is considered a family computer where the whole family can use it in the living room. What I do like about this is, if you want to, you can upgrade the heck out of it. RAM, Driver, and Graphic card can all be easily upgraded (if you want to run more powerful games/programs). When this gets slow you can upgrade almost everything and, bam, brand new. It’s great for those who are on a budget and don’t want to keep investing in computer every two-three years.
Overall, it’s not at all eye opening but it does the job. You can play movies, web browser and even uses programs like Dreamweaver without having it to glitch out. This is a universal computer and it's up to you how much you want to invest in the hardware in the long run. Verdict: it’s fast, quiet, and affordable as the everyday family computer. What else can you want for the price.
Hopefully, I was helpful to you all.
