I ordered a XXLarge based on my dogs measurements: Neck 27", Chest 37", Belly 32", Length 13" (Size chart for XXLarge is Neck 27-30", Belly 30-32", Length 15". He is a Black Lab / German Shepard mix weighing 97 pounds. He is 14 years old and rear legs are weak. It is a struggle to lift him into the car to take him to the vet and I thought this harness would help. The fit is good except the length which is right up to his penis and the harness bunches up a little because of that. The sellers picture shows a female dog but a male dog can't use the full span of the belly. I ordered the XXLarge because of his neck and belly measurements, I wasn't sure the XLarge would be large enough at the neck and belly. I am trying to decide if I should return it for a XLarge which I think the length would be better but I am concerned if it would fit the neck and belly. There may be enough "play" in the velcro straps to fit, not sure. The design is well thought out, the quality seems very good, it is well made and he is getting accustomed to wearing it. It is pretty simple to get on (while he is standing) and make the adjustments. I fold over a small portion of the harness material on the belly and he was able to pee without interference. I have not tried using the harness to lift him in the car so don't know yet how well it will work for that but I am sure it will be better that the towel I use.
