The ONLY book that has captivated my students
I am a pre-kindergarten teacher, so I have four and five-year-olds. I have checked out dozens and dozens of books on behavior from the library and tried many different techniques and I could not seem to get my students to grasp the concept of how making one choice can lead to another etc. etc. Not only do the kids in my class have so much fun choosing Danny’s choices in the story, but they also love seeing how the story can change depending on what they decide for Danny. They are finally grasping the concept that not only can one bad choice lead to another and have an effect on others, but you can also change a bad morning into a great afternoon or vice versa. My students constantly ask me if we can “hang out with Danny” and I have everyone’s attention when I pull out this book, even the most difficult behavioral students. I wholeheartedly wish there were more books like this! My students are actually involved in the story instead of just listening. Active participators certainly learn more! Five stars all the way!!!
