I Own Several Versions of "World of Goo", and Am Happy I Do
There are few games that make my 'favorite' list, and World of Goo is one of them. I have it on my PC, my Androids (both Amazon and a DRM-free version), my Wii, my Linux computer, and in my Steam account. If I had any Apple devices, then I'd have it on there, too. I love playing this game; it has serious replayability mojo with trying different ways to achieve the goal. 2D Boy developer is an "indie" developer - two guys, actually - and started from the bottom up with this game. It has won more awards than 99% of all other games, and for good reason. Superb gameplay, an intriguing script, wonderful soundtrack (which, incidentally, they give away for free), and lovable protagonists. I don't like the Network Access permission, but from playing on the other devices I know it is for a unique twist on the multiplayer/leaderboard where you can compete to build the highest tower. Turning off the access should otherwise not harm the game, and given the history of this app I trust the developers wholly, which, if you have read my other reviews, is truly saying a LOT! Get this epic game, regardless of platform, at least once. You'll be glad you did. :) P.S., no I don't know or have any affiliations with the developer; I just happen to have witnessed the rise of this game from beta, and think this game is better than most major label games ever produced. [EDIT: changed review to indicate that I have the Amazon version as well, edited the versions and devices, added why I love the game, and inserted a missing word in the network permission sentence.]
