After using this cup for 5 months, I feel I can now properly review it. Overall, I have experienced shorter periods, my sick day inducing cramps are no more, and I would even forget that I’m on my period if it weren’t for my terrible pms mood swings. This specific design from Flex allows me to use it with ease despite my long nails. I am able to easily hook onto the little loop on the end and slide it out carefully. I have included a photograph of my hands holding the flex cup, as you can see I like to have long nails and that is not a problem with the Flex cup. I did have one accident during my first cycle using this cup. I pulled too hard and too fast on the sting resulting in my bathroom looking like a crime scene. I ventured on however and now I am a professional. I have had zero leaks, spills, or messes since then and the cup fits so comfortably in my body that I leave it in all day until I come home. Even on my heavy days, I don’t even fill it halfway. I do recommend to wash it with hot water before insertion because when it is warm it completely eliminates my cramps. If I wash it with cold water I do experience some cramping but nothing as bad as I was experiencing before this cup. I have tried to convert my mother and my sisters and they have been hesitant so now I will order one for them. Gone are the days with negative stigmas surrounding the female body. Our menstruation isn’t gross and we should be comfortable enough with our bodies to use these innovative devices. So ladies, open your legs and slide that menstrual cup in there, you will be glad you did.
