UNIVERSAL did a great Job on the HAMMER FILMS 8 films blu ray set I’am only reviewing 5 major films out of the 8 films set. Here we go…. BRIDES OF DRACULA Great transfer from a IB TECH original master neg. Cropped a little bit from top and bottom hardly noticeable . EVERY BODY is in frame. Rock steady picture, sharp clean audio sound and lush color.a little grain because of the IB tech neg. Overall amazing looking. CURSE OF THE WEREWOLF Great transfer from a IB TECH original master neg. Cropped a little bit from top and bottom hardly noticeable . EVERY BODY is in frame. Rock steady picture lush color muffle audio in some areas of the film. Bad news the entire girl’s bedroom scene when reed first turns into the werewolf and kills the girl, audio is out of sync. Lips are 1 sec. before the audio. Overall amazing looking. Also UNCUT. PHANTOM OF THE OPERA Great transfer from a IB TECH original master neg. Cropped a little bit from top and bottom hardly noticeable . EVERY BODY is in frame. Rock steady picture, sharp clean audio sound and lush color. NO GRAIN here. Remember how grainy the laser and the standard dvd was . not this time, new re-work master here. This is a smooth amazing picture.and has the full eye scene restored.
