First let me say that I was very satisfied with the performance of the product. The agar is odorless and tasteless and gelled very well. But the directions for use are very misleading. The directions state to use 1 tablespoon per cup of water yet every other source I looked into suggested 1 teaspoon per cup of water. 1 tablespoon was far too much and waste of the product 1 teaspoon worked well giving a firm but not tough gel. Also directions state to completely dissolve the powder but does not say anything about heating the liquid to do so. The liquid must be brought to a gentle boil to completely dissolved the powder. This may be why some buyers had trouble getting the product to work. revising the directions would save a lot of confusion for people who are not familiar with using agar.
