This little guy is pretty cool. It's more of a toy and not as advanced as the Sphero version of BB-8, but then again it is almost half the price. A quick comparison of the two: - The Hasbro model is larger than the Sphero version. - The Sphero has a more premium feel and look to it, more of a gadget than a toy. - The Hasbro is controlled by an included remote whereas the Sphero model is controlled by an app. - The Hasbro one moves slower than the Sphero one. Hasbro's does tend to wobble like a drunken sailor, but then again so does the Sphero model a bit but to a much lesser degree. - On the Hasbro model, BB-8's sounds come from the droid itself not the controller. On the Sphero the sounds come from the app. - Hasbro's uses batteries you supply whereas Sphero's is rechargeable with a base. I'd say before you buy it, make sure to check out videos of how it moves on YouTube to see if the toy is worth it to you.
