This stuff is awesome! Everyone in the house is addicted to it! As soon as I opened it, everyone had their hands in it and couldn't stop. This is good for all ages! I bought it mostly for myself, and I am 22 years old; however, the three children I'm caretaker for are 11, 13, and 15, and all of them love playing with it. Their 40-something parents also love it! Here's some pros and cons: Pros: -Fantastic to the touch! -Very clean! -Holds its shape well and has a fantastic texture! -Doesn't have on offensive smell or taste. Yes, I tasted it, because if it is meant for young kids they will probably get it in their mouths. It has no flavor so it doesn't entice eating through smell or taste. -Fantastic for play for hours! As it gets warmer, it gets softer, and is even more pleasant to play with! -We left it out overnight. Didn't dry out! -Handles well and is very enjoyable for all ages. Our autistic child adores the stuff and he enjoys playing with it just by himself sometimes. Very good for texture and focus! Cons: -It doesn't come with a container. It comes in a baggy so you have to get your own. I'd suggest something with a tight lid in case it gets dropped! -It looks like brown sugar. EXACTLY ,like brown sugar, actually, so make sure to keep it away from the kitchen! Like I said, it has no taste and a smell that is obviously not food, but it still wouldn't risk it. It looks and packs a lot like brown sugar, which is comical but still don't keep it in the kitchen. -This stuff WILL stick to your fingers. Not a lot, but it will. Just keep that in mind! Little tiny grains will stick to you and you'll have to wash them off with simple water. It's a tiny amount of stuff but it isn't completely non-stick like it says. -It can get away from you really REALLY easily. When we were done playing, and putting it away, we kept finding little patches of it on the table and having to do a wide search to make sure we got it all up. -It leaves a slight residue on the surface it's on. I wouldn't call it oily, more waxy. It's not bad, it comes up with water, but it isn't as easy to clean up as the video implies. It's still clean, technically, but it makes the surface somewhat matte until run over with a wet cloth. I would highly recommend this stuff!! Some side notes: -Kids will probably want to play with toys in it. This is fine! Just keep in mind that toys that have joints/wheels will be a problem. The sand will get in the joints and gum them up, make them grindy, and you'll loose some of the sand. No fun! But things like plastic creatures, barbies, and what not, will be fine. The sand comes off easily and if it gets packed into tight spaces you can just tap it out. NO JOINTS! Action figures/Transformers/Cars I would not suggest to play in this stuff! Wheels and joints are a no-no! Keep in mind that tight joints like on barbies or on smaller toys are fine, but open-ended joints is where it will be a problem. Just be careful! -You CAN make sand castles with this! However I would suggest being careful because it doesn't pack as much as real sand and will fall apart under it's own weight if you're not careful. Nothing to do about that! -DON'T SQUEEZE IT IN YOUR HANDS. I'm not sure what possessed me to do this when I was playing with it with the kids, but when I took some into my hand and clenched my hand on it, it stuck to my skin like the dickens, it was insane! It came off, eventually, but it was not something I'd do again. Don't clench down on it apparently, because it will rebel! -You can draw in it with a stylus, tooth picks, even butter knives and forks. Using utensils in this is fun! cookie cutters, forks, spoons, knives, all that fun stuff can be used. We didn't use wood products but I wouldn't suggest it regardless. This stuff is awesome and I'm glad I bought it! Thanks Waba Fun! The amount you get is more than it looks and is VERY much worth the price. MUCH BETTER PRICE THAN BUYING ON THINK GEEK!
