I bought these units as an intercom system for two elderly adults who have a need to communicate while separated in their house. They had difficulty using normal "walkie-talkie" style units due to the small buttons and lack of understanding. These units work like a charm and the elderly users have no difficulty operating them at all. The large button used for transmit makes teaching this piece of technology to non-technological people a snap.
