In looking for a new bathrobe I wanted fleece, easy opening, and some color. After reading the reviews for this product I chose it. According to the reviews the bathrobe runs really big, but none of the descriptions made by other reviewers answered my concerns. So I am writing this review with the hope that I can help others make a decision about the size of the bathrobe. All the current reviews state that the bathrobe is really big, so size down. I normally wear a 1 or 2X in nightgowns so the question was how to size down. On the order page the sizes are listed as S,M,L,LXL,1X/2X and L/XL. I could not find a single description of the difference between a LXL versus a L/XL. I am 5'7", and weigh about 230. I wear an XL in knit tops, a 2X in most tops made of woven fabric, and a size 22 in pants. The circumference of my arms and legs is about the same as when I was 20. (I am now 70.) So all my extra weight is in my middle. Also, I have relatively short legs so a lot of size 22 pants or skirts have to be hemmed. With a great deal of trepidation I ordered a LXL. It fits perfectly. The sleeves don't need to be rolled up and the hem is at my ankles. It fits satisfactorily across my middle. There is no tugging anywhere. I hope this review will help women of size make a decision about what size to purchase. I gave the review 4 stars instead of 5 because the indicated sizing was unclear.
