No ice needed! Use frozen bottles.
Awesome ice machine! Use frozen water bottles filled 1.5 inch below cap to allow for ice expsnsion and to the machine add just the little amount of water to reach the line indicated on the inside wall. No ice needed! Save time and money. You will need three bottles in the machine so freeze 9 total so you can always have a cold set ready. One set will last 4-6 hours inside the machine. Great machine for my wife's total knee replacement. My wife says every patient with a knee replacement should get one. Besides the water bottles I use a big insulated zippered cloth food transporter to hold the main unit. Keeps the bottles frozen longer and protects the machine and also the bag handles makes it a nice traveling bag to carry the entire machine if the patient needs it at their desk at work. Also at home get a hospital bedside cart on wheels if possible or a small piece of furniture that height to give the tubes the proper angle down to the patient.
