Repairing Windshields in Hot Weather Locations
I was living in southern Texas when I noticed a small bull’s eye on my windshield. The temperature here is usually around 95 °F and the instructions that come with all windshield repair kits don't mention hot-weather conditions.. So I spent a lot of time asking on the Amazon forums about this, People answered, but overall it was ambiguous. I also called a few of the companies, but they were also not much help.
Eventually, I found a handmade video on YouTube made by someone down South. He confirmed to me that this product worked for him.
I applied it a total of three times to also fill in the center of the actual impact. One month later, so far so good.
Here are my tips, if it helps:
1. use a Sharpie pen on the inside of the windshield to mark the cracks and impact.
2. Then tape a clean sheet of white paper over the Sharpie marks (on the inside).
Together, both of these steps will greatly improve visibility from the outside of the windshield.
