Negative Reviews and Responsibility
Here’s the thing about all the negative/choking hazard reviews. All of the owners admit to not noticing or leaving out the toy for their felines to play with unsupervised. Which is more of a fault on their end than the design of the toy. Most toys are a choking hazard or have parts that can be demolished and then swallowed. You are the owner. It is your responsibility to put away toys that your cat could get tangled up in. We all know that wand toys are potentially hazardous which is why most owners don’t leave them out. My cat is a mainecoon. He’s 27 pounds of muscle and fur and finding toys that won’t break under his strength has been a hassle. I’ve even made toys because he’s just to big to play with the normal ones. I bought this because it was cheap and thought I’d see how long it lasted. It is his absolute favorite toy and the only purchased one that he hasn’t been able to break! The flexing wand part really helps and doesn’t snap when he’s playing. If you have larger breeds this is a great toy for them. So, my monster cat hasn’t broken this toy with over three months of use. It shows no signs of wear or tear and I always put it away so he can’t get to it, just like his other wand toys. I find it difficult to believe that a cat of average size could in anyway quickly chew a peice off. I think your cat is safe playing with this toy as long as you are present.
