After hearing about various cases of people ingesting wire pieces from grill brushes I wanted a safer product to use. I will use this for a month and if it continues to do a good job on my grill, I will purchase more and give to family and friends. It is very heavy and well built, I'm pleased with this purchase. Update 4/17/17: Cooked hamburgers on the grill. The brush does a fair job on the grill with heavier residue, however it takes a lot more effort than a wire brush. I think what it is missing is a scraper. I cleaned it with water on a hot grill as the directions state. As you can see from the photos it did an okay job. I'm not sure I will purchase more for family and friends but I will keep this until I find a similar one that comes with a scraper.
