We’ve had several $20ish tea kettles, and the spout opener function has always broken pretty quickly. We decided to try a kettle with a higher price point. We’ve had the Pykal tea kettle for almost 2 weeks, and it’s been great. The cool handle is really nice, and the button to open the spout seems sturdy and works well. It’s a large kettle, and we never fill it very full so it whistles quickly. Time will tell if it holds up, but so far we’re happy!
