This was my 1st kit ordered to try my own powder manicure. I have gotten gel manicures for years and got worried about the lights! Not to mention how much money I've saved in the past 4 months in which I've been using my kit. I will admit my 1st attempt was not stellar (be careful to not get too much next to cuticles); however, each time I tried I got a little better and learning more tricks. I did buy a primer separately and find that helps me get closer to 2 weeks with each color. 3 coats of powder also helps with no cracking or lifting. You'll want a good file, a small brush (to remove extra powder after each dip) and a strong buffer. Colors are pretty accurate compared to what they advertise. In my kit I really only don't prefer one color (salmon seems a little too orange on my skin tone) and I painted regular polish in a similar color over it and all problems were solved. I encourage everyone to watch a couple "how to" videos on YouTube as that helped me immensely. I've purchased 2 kits so far.  1 for myself and 1 for my best friend for her 40th birthday gift as I loved the product so much.  I've also told several friends about the great results and how each time I do my nails I get a little better. I'm NOT a professional nail person by any means, but a little patience and attention to detail and this is a product I can do at home all by myself and I'm loving it!  Takes me about 45 min. from start to finish. Now debating on which kit I want to order from myself next.
