This thermometer seems to work and be fairly accurate. Though, like more oral thermometers, it will be inaccurate if you have had anything to eat or drink in the last 20 minutes. My major complaint is that the built-in beep is so soft and high-pitched that this over 40 male cannot hear it all all. Thankfully, my wife can hear the tone, so I know that it actually works. Any way, if you are hard of hearing in the slightest, this is not for you.
