My arthritic kitty loves this pad! Unfortunately, so do all my kitties so it looks like I have to get a few more! It works as described, and is a wonderful product, but I really wanted to share a nice way to fix up a place for your kitty. I had previously purchased a big decorative, garden ceramic pot at Ace. It's the kind with a 8" hole in the side (I posted a picture in the product images from customers found in the review section). The base is exactly the size for this heating pad, has a convenient small (drainage) hole in the back that the cord perfectly goes through without any crimping. This pot is my targeted kitty's favorite spot to sleep...he's there ALL the time! When I saw the pad I wondered if it would work inside. I put the pad outside the pot the first night, so he wouldn't have to give up his favorite place in case he didn't like the pad. When I got up in the morning, he was on the heated pad and not in the pot! Trust me, that is a very high recommendation straight from the cat! This is a great set up because it keeps the cord out of reach of paws / teeth, is cozy, and adds an added level of safety because the pad can't be moved around who knows where when you're not right there. My little kitty loves his little, heated, home!
