Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

I've caught about a dozen mice with the old design and loved it. So, after reading many of the poor reviews about the new design here, I was skeptical about ordering these. Some claimed the mice were too smart to climb the "hill" inside the trap and then push the lever. I bought 6 traps featuring the new design, successfully used them all within a week and just bought 6 more. The trick: Because of the other poor reviews, I was certain these traps would fail (maybe we just have dumb mice in Colorado?!?!). So, here's how I got them to work without fail: 1) Put peanut butter in the back little back door. Don't use cheese. 2) Using a butter knife or equivalent tool (these are fresh, clean traps), put some peanut butter on the end of the knife, stick it inside the main entrance of the trap wiping the PB onto the little black lever at the top of the hill at the back of the trap. My finger wasn't long enough to do this. 3) Finally, put 3 dollops of peanut butter (tiny amounts, like the size of a drop of water) on the hill (to entice them up the hill). That's it. I've had 6 out of 6 catches all within a week. I'm actually sad that I've had that many mice--but I'm hoping to get them all. Good luck!
