I purchased two of these lock set for my duplex and in less than 2 years they were showing extreme ware. Color fading and chipping off. I started looking for another product to replace it with. I started reading some other reviews and they raved about the customer service. As a last resort I contacted the Schlage. I showed them the pictures of my locks and they said it had a lifetime warranty on the color. They apologized and completely replaced both units. I was shocked. Yes, it was frustrating have bad equipment, but what really counts is how a company fixes the issue when there is a problem. I have had both new units for a while now and they are holding up well. I would purchase again.
