We had previously purchased a smaller version of this diffuser and loved it so much. We still own the smaller version and use it in our bedroom, considering it our "small space" diffuser (150ml diffuser). We wanted this 400ml diffuser to use in our great room. It provides quality diffusion for our great room, which is about 400 square feet with vaulted ceilings. We use tap water and several various brands of therapeutic quality essential oils (organic & non). We have been using this model for a couple of months now, about 3/5 days each week (about 10 drops of oil per use). We have not had to clean it yet, but typically clean the diffusers every couple of months with vinegar. The smaller diffuser did not come with the cleaning brush and cloth that this one did, so I am looking more forward to the cleaning process, as there are several crevices in the lid and water tank that are difficult to reach with a standard washcloth. The wood look isn't quite as natural as I would have liked it to, however, this may be due to the fact that much of the wood in our great room is a darker stain than this model.
