I feel like I'm cheating! =D
Ordered mine directly from the manufacturer just arrived to day! This thing is smaller than it looks i was actually kind of shocked so im uploading a picture of it next to my origional GO Plus. As a level 39 player I use the original Go+ over 40 hours a week at my job I work on top of a cluster spawn 7+ pkmn pop up at a time needless to say I'm pushing the button nonstop. When i saw that the Go-tcha had an auto catch feature I ordered it immediately.
When you first pair the Go-tcha is acts just like a normal Go+ its actually called "Pokemon Go Plus" in the Bluetooth menu. If it means anything i have a Galaxy S7 Edge and it connected INSTANTLY no fooling around with discovery mode it just worked the first time. Loaded up the game and after ejecting the old Go+ I connected the new one once again with out issues.
For a test run I drove down main street in my small town and ... well, it felt like i was cheating...=) as long as you stay under the speed limit and the Pokemon stays in your range you can quite literally "vacuum up" poke stops AND Pokemon as you drive along. Obviously it will catch EVERYTHING so you need to watch out for rares. This thing is GOD MODE for power leveling if you set it to just spin stops it will spin them ALMOST just as fast as you can manually. And of course it catches faster then any human can manually because it skips all the animations. It also picked up stops and Pokemon that were not visible because i drove over the speed limit. To be fair the original Go+ can do this to but you need to be quick to push the button. The Go-tcha has a rather powerful vibration motor and it can be turned on and off.
Now I'm going to stop gushing about this thing and touch on the bad points:
I has a tiny led screen that is impossible to see in direct sun light
because of the touch screen i couldn't manually press the screen to catch through my clothes like the original Go+
its small and awkward to hold in the hand with out a wrist strap
the wrist strap is NOT something i would wear in public
I will report back if anything weird happens but i can already tell this will replace my original Go+ because of the auto catch/spin feature.
UPDATE: June ,11 2017
Update after using the Go-tcha for over a month. I have had the Go-tcha running pretty much everyday about 70+hours a week, and still running great. I've dropped it a couple times and it has come scratches on the screen but it still works. There are a couple of issue that arise when setting it to auto catch, you run out of pokeballs REALLY fast. I work on a cluster spawn 10+ pkmn spawn in the building that i work at during my shift the Go-tcha uses over 100+ pokeballs by the time I clock out. Almost every day I need to restock. so if you don't have a nice cluster pokestop area to refill you will be out of pokeballs ALL the time.
I've tested out the battery life and I feel like if you have the Go-tcha running 8+ hours a day with the vibration off you can get away with 2+ days max of use with the vibration motor on that is almost half. This may sound bad but since the Go-tcha can be charged in any USB port is not a big problem I've let the Go-tcha completely die once and it was fully charged in about 45 minutes. After a day of play i just plug it into a USB port on my computer and its good to go.
This is not an issue with the Go-tcha but with Pokemon GO app itself, Niantic has programmed any GO+ device to disconnect after an hour. There is nothing you can do to stop this BUT you can decrease your down time but using a macro that sets off an alarm when a bluetooth device disconnects. Since I'm on android I use an app called macro droid and every hour like clock work the Go-tcha disconnects but I get an alarm in my pocket that tells me exactly when. So i can quickly reconnect I REALLY wish this was common knowledge in the game and not just a hidden "feature". Keeping the GO+/Go-tcha connected is crucial for egg distance and stardust.
