I have a general class licence WH6DSF. And you dont have to guess Im a kinda radio freak. I love radio and audio and this Eton 750 delivers. Its a vast miles ahead improvement over the old Eton LLBean E radio which no longer works. Im intrested in LW. 100-500 KHz. It works ofcourse. There is radio silence down there a single slow CW transponder NDB at about 365khz. Otherwise not much of anything. SW is also not bringing in much. Could be a good antenna with a tuner is needed. There is not much on LW or SW which is a crying shame. These bands travel. LW the wave length is 1 KM and up. It goes and goes. This is a bad ass radio perfect for sound and reception. The VFO knob is heavey duty and has a knurled detent, nice very nice. Guess I could have gone with a Yeasu or Kennwood receiver for double the money but Im super pleased with this Covid Cabin Fever bustin user friendly beast. After some use it turns out the FM mono button will eliminate a bunch of noise. I really like the 4 D cell power 6 volts. Just a great feel, the AM rotator antenna is fully functional. This is super handy to dial in AM stations and improve the signal to noise. Its a standalone radio so it stays on if the power isn't. Im planning to power it with 6 volts from one L16 offgrid battery. One thing I noticed is the center pin for external DC is negative. In the states its almost always the positive at the center pin. This is very Euro Grundig, rig. Very cool just look careful and its loaded with features. This has two 50ohm bnc ant ports and one 500 ohm bare wire ant. external.
