After 7 years my $190 rain gauge, which is also for sale on Amazon, finally quit. After receiving this rain gauge and using it for a month I'm glad it did. To be honest it totally out flanks the other rain gauge. It's convenient, easy to use, and resets itself at the end of the month. As far as I'm concerned it's a damn good buy. Addendum several months later: this totally beats out any other ring gauge I have purchased in the past. Many of which I paid much more money for. This keeps running totals for the year, the month, the last 7 days, the last 24 hours. In addition it resets the month back to zero at the start of the new month. It seems to be extremely accurate and easy to read. I've had either a weather station or a rain gauge all of my adult life and I'm 83 years old. This is the best weather instrument I've ever purchased.
