This is a really nice kit
There has been some confusion about how this flag is attached to the pole. Please refer to the pictures I have posted on this page. The kit includes two plastic rings with plastic thumb screws. You slide the plastic rings onto the top half of the pole with one at the top and one near the bottom. Remove the thumb screws from the rings. Thread one thumb screw through the brass grommet at the top of the flag into the ring you placed at the top of the pole until the thumb screw is tight against the pole. Now thread the other thumb screw through the brass grommet at the bottom of the flag into the ring you positioned near the bottom of the pole. Slide that ring toward the bottom of the pole until the spine of the flag is taut against the pole and tighten it against the pole. Now the rings and thumb screws hold the flag and keep it from sliding down the pole. I guess the metal clip at the top of the pole is supposed to keep the flag from sliding down. I guess you are supposed to put it through the top grommet on the flag. But if you use it and you slide the flag down until the clip is fully extended, the ring at the bottom of the flag will be off the top part of the pole (the part that spins) so you'll lose the tangle prevention properties of the spinning pole. The flag mounting bracket is heavy duty and provides for adjustment to several angles, using matching triangular teeth to hold the angle. Once you tighten the wingnut, the angle is held solidly. The flag that comes with this kit is very nice and of medium weight with nice embroidery. I purchased two of these kits, one to fly Old Glory and one to fly my Seahawks 12th Man Flag. They look great together!
